Career Coaching

Students attending the EFTA training TU and FI will have access to their own job coach who helps them started with their careers. Coaching is an important part of our market-oriented school culture. EFTA’s CEO, Peter Lindkvist, works as a career coach, has cooperated with the Employment Service for several years and has extensive experience in supporting and helping career individuals to success.

Peter tells his story…

“To decide on a career in aviation is a big step. As a pilot, you should have a qualified education and hopefully rewarding professional development. The labor market for pilots varies, for example, over the next five years British Airways will need 800 pilots and Scandinavian Airlines will need to recruit. Regardless of economic situation, openings for pilots are ever changing. My role as a coach is to make you as attractive on the job market as possible for the jobs that are open. How do I work? I analyze your flight hours and training, your personality and skills, and your background and interests. I use my expertise to support you in creating a solid resume, help you develop your market worthiness, and building self-confidence through interview roll playing in order to sell yourself. Naturally, even as a hired career counsellor, I cannot guarantee jobs. I can, however, use my network of contacts among executives at companies within the aviation business to guide you. I will be there as a secure support for you, answer questions, give advice, and come up with new angles to spring you to success.”
